👉 overall これは「全体的に、概して」文の一番最初に置かれているのは、全体の内容を
指定するからなんですね。「指定」は前に置く、しっかりと覚えておきましょう。

③ That’s good to hear. 【元の形は、hear that 】
👉さあ、That’s good to hear. という文が出ていましたね。判断あるいは印象を表す形容詞に
特徴的な使い方です。hear that と主語は、hear の目的語として働いている意味関係 – そこに注意して
練習しましょう。

④ His math is decent, …【 decent の意味】
👉さあ、decent という形容詞が出て来ました。これは「そこそこいい」という形容詞。ものすごく
いい、というわけではありません。

⑤ He‘s been focusing more on othe subjects lately.【現在完了進行形のニュアンス】
👉 he’s been focusing というフレーズが出て来ましたね。現在完了進行形です。focus するという
行為が focusing, focusing, focusing – 過去から現在まで続いている、そうしたことを表す形です。
