take は、手にとって使うというわけです。「(時間が)かかる」というわけですね。

👉 some の後の advice という単語。もちろん、-s はつきません。
この単語は数えられない名詞、不可算名詞というわけです。
アドバイス – １個、２個と数えられない、ぼんやりした単語なんですね。

③ What was their advice? 【 their の使い方 】
👉さあ、ここで their が出てきましたけれども、ストラヴィンスキー先生のピアノの先生は
性別が明らかになっていません。そこで their が出てくるわけです。

④ In order to succeed, you need two things.【 in order to の役割 】
👉 in order to 子は「目的」を表すフレーズ。覚えておきましょう。
