head for「〜へ向かう」というわけです。
be headed for という形をとることもあります。

② Yes, ever since I was a little boy. 【 ever since のニュアンス 】
👉さあ、ここでは ever since というフレーズが出てきましたね。
since は「〜以来」というわけです。そして、ever は at any time。
「〜以来ずっと」というわけです。「どの時点を取っても」というわけです。
