なっているわけです。
👉そして、vet – これは「獣医さん」のこと。

👉さあ、After we’re done here というわけですね。
「私たちがここで作業を終えたなら」といって、完了の意味で使われていることに注意してくださいね。
③ Sounds good.【 主語の省略と説明型オーバーラッピング 】
👉ここの Sounds good. 主語がもちろんありませんけれども、説明型オーバーラッピングの形です。
that あるは it ＝ good に聞こえる、というわけですね。しっかりとこの形、覚えておきましょう。
④ I’m dying for a coffee ice cream smoothie.【 for のニュアンス 】
👉そして dying for「〜したくて、たまらない」というフレーズ。
このフレーズは、もちろん dying つまり、動詞の die「死ぬ」という単語と for「求めて」ということを
意味する 前置詞 for とのコンビネーションになっているわけです。「死ぬほど求めている」
そこから「飲みたくてたまらない」というわけですね。
▶︎「求めて」の for は非常にポピュラーな for であって、例えば look for 「〜を探す」というのも
「〜を求めて目をやる」ということです。あるいは、wait for 「〜を待つ」という時も、
「〜に会いたいな」「〜を求めて待つ」というフレーズになっているわけです。しっかりとこの for の
使い方を含めて、覚えてください。
