👉さあ、ここで apologize for – for の後ろに being と動詞が来ますね。
前置詞の目的語に動詞が来る時には、もちろん動詞 -ing形を使います。
▶︎そして、the other day – これは「先日」という意味のもつフレーズ。

② I’m just very curious about it.【 curious のニュアンス 】
👉さあ、curious という単語が出てきました。
Hey, David. Could you explain the nuance of this word “curious”?
David▶︎ Curious? Yeah! “Curious” is that feeling like you’ve got this itch
in your brain. And you need to scratch it with knowledge or more information.

③ Well, to be frank, I’m perplexed.【 to be frank の使い方 】
👉 to be frank – これは「率直にいうと」という話ですね。こうした話し手の態度を
表すフレーズは、文頭が定位置というわけです。
▶︎そして、perplexed – これは「困惑して」という表現ですね。
