I work hard の代わりに、I do work hard「実際にそうしてるんですよ」という意味合いの強調です。

② I won’t ask you what you do for a living. 【 文の部品 wh節 】
👉さあ、ここでは what you do for a living という wh節が出てきましたね。
do 〜 for a living – これは、「生活のために〜の仕事をする」というフレーズ。
what は、そこ(「〜の仕事」)をターゲットとして、「あなたが生活のためにしていること」
といった内容になっています。
